Since the inauguration of Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Mandir, we have been following the rules and regulations of Belur Math, staying committed to our mission of connecting people with God and helping them recognize divine truth through spirituality. From the very beginning, we have sought to facilitate initiation (Diksha) for devotees, allowing them to establish a deeper spiritual connection with Thakur.

This initiative started just one month after the Mandir’s opening, when we began registering names of interested devotees. Within six months, we had a long waiting list, prompting us to reach out to initiation gurus (Diksha Gurus) to conduct initiations at our temple. So far, initiation ceremonies have been conducted twice by a revered Guru from Sarada Math, and within the next two months, two Gurus from Belur Math will also visit to initiation.

We strictly adhere to the initiation procedures prescribed by Belur Math:

Devotees must register their names in person at the Mandir and purchase four specific books recommended by Belur Math for study before initiation.

When their names are called on a designated date, they must demonstrate a good understanding of the books and successfully qualify an interview.

The interview will be conducted by a Maharaj from Belur Math. If a devotee does not qualify, they must wait until the next initiation opportunity.

Those who pass the interview will receive an initiation date, along with instructions on necessary items to bring and other important details from the Mandir office.

Our aim is to ensure that each devotee receives proper spiritual guidance, following the sacred traditions upheld by Belur Math.
